What are some ideas I can use to create themed manicure and pedicure services?
When creating specialty services, use ingredients that can be incorportated into several steps of a nail service.
I would like to offer themed manicures and pedicures for my clients. I want a relaxing spa atmosphere. What are some ideas I can use to create themed services?
Themed services are extremely popular right now and will definitely set your spa apart from your competition. One idea that’s extremely successful in our spa is to choose a theme according to the seasons. For example, offer a Candy Cane Combo for Christmas that uses all peppermint products and throw in a complimentary paraffin treatment for a value-added treat that is of minimal cost to you. Another idea is to host parties in your nail room for groups of four or more. You could choose a theme such as “Moms’ Night Out.” Offer lavender themed pedicures, manicures, and chair massages by candlelight. Word-of-mouth advertising will spread like wildfire from all of the happy moms in the city! — Sara Spallino is founder and co-owner of The Beauty Bar in Toledo, Ohio.
