Hot Styles for Cool Weather
These red-hued styles can be worn in summer or winter and they're done completely with polish.
By Elsbeth Schuetz
Los Angeles-based celebrity manicurist Elsbeth Schuetz, whose work has appeared in many publications, including InStyle, Marie Claire, Teen People, and Cosmo Girl, took her inspiration for seasonal nail designs from Misa’s fall/winter lacquer collection, Femme. Schuetz used the collection to create six designs inspired by the latest fashion trends.
Red Is for Russian
This quilt-textured blood red nail complements two of the season’s trends: fur accents and luxurious fabrics.
Buttoned Up Victorian
Prim and proper with a hint of mystery, this vintage design pairs nicely with lacy blouses and cinch-waist jackets.
Dial M for Misa
With all its understated curves and restrained sex appeal, this pareddown
design looks great with a pencil skirt and shrunken tweed blazer.
Warhol Woman
This red-tipped French design gets a retro type treatment for a ’60s pop art vibe. Pair it with a punky bright T-shirt and spiky alligator stilettos.
Nuvo Mod
Bold prints and crisp shapes marched down the season’s runways. Keep in step with modminded fashionistas with the swirling graphic design.
Hey There, Sailor
This maritime-themed nail complements the season’s pea coats, crisp white pants, and boat-neck blouses.
