Summer Nail Trend: Handpainted Lace Enhancements

Set your clients up for summer lovin’ with delicate lace patterns, created with gels and airbrush paint.

How to Get the Look:

1. Use Akzentz Warm Coverage Pink Gel to create an enhancement. Finish, file, and apply CND Brisa Silver Shimmer Gel. Wipe off sticky layer. Buff with a 180-grit file. Using a 18/0 liner brush and Createx Black Opaque Airbrush Paint, outline a lace flower. (Airbrush paint works well because of its thin consistency.)

2. Continue adding petals and leaves. Use smooth flowing strokes for the best effect.

3. Using a #2 brush, add large, scalloped U-shaped strokes. Thin your paint, then add tiny ovals on top of the scallops. With the 18/0 liner brush, add in small, fine dot and line details. Use a cross-hatching pattern to create the netting areas. Outline with bolder strokes any shapes that should be highlighted. Let dry, then seal with Akzentz Top Gloss and remove sticky layer.
