Robert Yates, formerly with Vidal Sassoon and most recently with Matrix Essentials, has joined Creative Nail Design Systems as vice president of marketing, reports company president Jan Bragulla. Yates is well-known in the beauty business for his 20 years’ experience in marketing advertising, and promotions. Says Bragulla, “Robert Yates brings an innovative approach to marketing and a record of successful launches unmatched in the professional beauty industry. He shares our company’s vision of the future of nail care.”

Bragulla and Creative Nail Design Systems CEO Jim Nordstrom revealed that there are several other key developments for the company.

Effective March 1, the company changed its name to Creative Nail Design Systems, a change that reflects the company’s commitment to total product systems for hand beauty. The company will relocate to a new facility in July 1994. Located in Vista, Calif., the new 54,000- square-foot custom-designed plant will house the entire staff. Says Tom Nordstrom, vice president of manufacturing,” ... the new facility will be more efficient and safer. We will be increasing our capacity threefold. We’ll have the most up- to-date flammable-goods filling and storage space available and a laboratory that is triple the size of our current research and development department.” Lippe Taylor Public Relations, a major New York-based agency, will now handle the company’s consumer public relations. Creative Nail Design premieres a new tradeshow booth that reflects its focus on function and fashion at the Midwest Beauty Show.
