Having your aura read a little like having your palm read, only with high tech equipment. An aura according to the dictionary is “a distinctive atmosphere surrounding a given source.” The “source” in this case was my head and the aura, captured by kind of thermal camera, looked more like the old Polaroid’s with the backing removed too early. It cost me $24 at the Aveda booth at a tradeshow (I also got custom-mixed shampoo and perfumed along with my enlightenment), but I think of myself as open-minded and I’m willing to listen when someone tells me they can help me understand myself better (of course, I’m also particularly susceptible to products sold on television infomercials).

My reading revealed that I have a high degree of “sensitive intimacy, leading to complete fusion between subject and object, so that everything which though and desired must become reality.” (Uh, does that mean I expect to get everything I want?) “Charm, sensitive, and seep spiritual understanding are the qualities most important to you.” (Tell that to my staff, who’ve seen me on deadline.) “You work very hard at whatever you do. Intensity to experience and fullness of living. The world sees you as alive, outgoing, and powerful.” Well, yes, I agree with that completely. I guess there is something to this aura reading after all. – Cyndy Drummey
