I wish I was told about all of the different products that are on the market. I wasted a lot of money sampling different products.

I wish I had known that I should have gotten a degree in psychology. I’ve been doing nails for 14 years and sometime feel more like a counsellor than a manicurist.

I wish I had known which acrylic product was right for me. It took a while and some not-so-fabulous nails to find what worked for me.

Heather LackeyD.C. Haircrafters, Warsaw, Ind.

I wish I had known how busy I was going to be as a nail technician. At first, I didn’t have a clientele. I’ve built a solid clientele and am very lucky to be making money at something I love to do.

Marsee EssingtonNails by Marsee, Mt. Pleasant, Pa.

Angel HuntsmanMane Styling Salon, Alexandria, Ind.

I wish I would have known how to say no, I can’t do that. Instead, I spent all of my time trying to do a service I didn’t know how to do.
