The response to our first issue was overwhelming, and I must admit, most gratifying. Our format and direction fills a need, and many of our readers offered further suggestions to fine-tune our approach. The next several issues will respond to all of those suggestions ... and further build on what we have already accomplished.

Within this particular issue, we have taken a more business, professional direction with several of our editorial pieces.

For example, one particular story deals with setting the right price for the service offered. In a hypothetical example, the editorial takes the reader through several stages and approaches in an attempt to illustrate just what offering that service is costing versus what you might be charging.

Another story worth reviewing is the piece on impulse buying and how this can be tapped to increase the amount of money spent in your salon.

Also within this issue we have put together a story and exhibitor list for the New York International Beauty Show, scheduled for March 13-15.
