The 2015 Nail Tech Event of the Smokies offered three days of education and shopping to nearly 500 enthusiastic nail techs. The event, held July 11-13 at the Gatlinburg Tennessee Convention Center, kicked off with hands-on training at eight new Saturday workshops, some classes selling out months in advance. The nail show on Sunday offered shopping with 37 nail companies, plus 10 complimentary standing-room-only classes. “Some vendors reported selling completely out of everything before noon, while several others sold out of various products throughout the show and were taking sales orders,” says event coordinator Jill Wright. To complete the three-day educational extravaganza, 16 companies held 28 different Monday workshops.
