Travel the world with OPI on NAILS Magazine’s new interactive map.
OPI has been drawing inspiration for its collections from cities, states, and countries since its inception. The company has selected its most recent destination-based collections and created an interactive map.
The collection highlighting San Francisco included colors such as Alcatraz… Rocks and Haven’t the Foggiest. The collection played on some of the city’s most well-known attributes and brought a mix of textures and matte shades. OPI expanded its color collection to South America with its 2014 Spring/Summer Brazil Collection with a color palette ranging from tropical colors to earthy tones. Later that year, OPI travelled to the other side of the equator for its 2014 Fall/Winter Nordic Collection. The shades reflect the northern lights of Finland, deep blue fjords in Norway, and colorful hues in Copenhagen.
Then, 2015 took us back into the U.S., but off the “Mainland” to Hawaii. The Spring/Summer collection featured muted tones of mint, peach, pink, and nude to bolder hues of coral, green, purple, and gold to deep tones of mauve, violet, brick red, and shimmery blue. For the 2015 Fall/Winter Collection, OPI brought us the beauty of Venice with 15 shades that exuded opulence and romanticism, and ranged from golds to deep reds.
OPI’s most recent destination-based collection is New Orleans. The 12 new shades include the purples one would associate with beads thrown at Mardi Gras, but also bring in more subtle, natural hues like Humidi-Tea.
