IBD is brightening up summer with its Island of Eden gel-polish collection. Because tropical is always topical, here are three nail art looks using the collection, complete with how-to instructions.

Sea Isle Streak

1. Apply Carte Blanche to the entire nail. Cure for 30 seconds in LED lamp or two minutes in UV lamp.

2. Apply TOP-tional in strokes. Brush left to right until desired effect is achieved. Cure for 30 seconds in LED lamp or two minutes in UV lamp.

3. Repeat stroke method with Passport to Purple. Cure for 30 seconds or two minutes.

4. Use Bronze Me Up to create depth with a striper brush.

5. Apply top coat to the entire nail, cure, and cleanse.

Nimbus Effect


1. Apply two coats of Coco-Nuts-for-You to the entire nail and cure.

2. Drop small droplets of Bronze Me Up and Dip Your Toes on the nail. Cure.

3. Dab an ibd nail wipe all over the nail to blend the colors. Cure.

4. Apply top coat to the entire nail, cure, and cleanse.

Seaside Splatter

1. Alternate brushstrokes between Post Holiday Blues and Just Keep Swimmin’ over the entire nail. Cure.

2. Repeat Step 1 to enrich the effect. Use an ibd nail wipe to dab on the nail. Cure.

3. Create light strokes on the nail by brushing Passport to Purple on all areas of the nail.

4. Use an ibd Nail Wipe to remove excess polish. Cure.

5. Apply top coat to the entire nail, cure, and cleanse.
