If I could open a salon anywhere in the world it would be in Disney Springs, Orlando, Florida. Being an avid Disney fan, I would specialize in Disney artwork. It would be the best of both worlds — I love to do nails and I love vacationing at Disney!

I would want my salon right here in the place I grew up, Bradenton, Fla. There isn’t anything out of the ordinary here in town, so I would go all out and make it everything but ordinary. For instance, perhaps a nail shop that is open at night.

If money were no object, I would open a salon and day spa on a tropical island; Cayman Islands or San Juan are appealing. It would be amazing to be right on the beach and offer the option of indoor or outdoor treatments. The sound of the ocean and fresh air would put the first smile on our guests’ faces. Being able to offer a menu full of tropical services to the locals and those on vacation would be so much fun!

If I could open a salon any-where in the world, it would be on a massive boat on the ocean with an undisclosed location. The appointments would be prepaid, clients brought in by the salon’s private helicopter, and their kids or spouse provided with entertainment. The appointments would last for three hours and would include nails, toes, tropical beverage, and eye mask. Only three appointments would be available in a day, the clientele would not be overlapped for guaranteed privacy, and they would only be allowed to make an appointment with a reference from an existing client. The exclusivity would make it desirable to an elite client, and the undisclosed and changing location would guarantee privacy. With money and practicality no object, I would also treat my class attendees to a real day off when they needed it — somewhere floating and fun!
