Artistic Nail Design is known for bringing edginess to any nail look. Weddings, on the other hand, are known for keeping with tradition. In the 21st century not every bride wants a French tip. As a nail tech, you will need to be prepared for any kind of bride who walks through your door. Creative director Alisha Rimando Botero shares her advice on creating nails for the non-conformist bride. “I like to get the feel for the entire event, and then look specifically at how the bride is dressed. Are there lace details or flowers that can be duplicated? Whatever the case, I like to make the nails as long as she can wear them so we have a full canvas to decorate on. I never do bridal without putting on some 3-D art.” For the set pictured, Botero wanted to give a bride on a budget a glamorous, yet different wedding set. “I went long, soft, and oval on pure white extensions, then added some sheer color swirls to demonstrate the fun and wild side of this bride,” says Botero, who also added Swarovski crystals to make the look even better.
