For clients of Salon Riviera in Redondo Beach, Calif., receiving a traffic or parking ticket has an unexpected upside: Bring the ticket to the salon and new clients will receive 50% off their service. If you’re already a client of the salon, you can get 40% off up to three of your favorite retail products. “I came up with the idea because of the many tickets I’ve received lately,” says salon owner Victoria Tap, who recently received three tickets in the span of a week. “It’s not just me; many clients have gotten them too. I thought this would be a nice way to give back to the people who suffer from the financially strapped city we live in, so I posted the offer on our Facebook page.”
