Priti Organic Spa in New York City has found a creative way to expand word-of-mouth advertising. Targeting the tech-savvy client, it offers a simple incentive: Citysearch.com feedback in exchange for a chance to receive a complimentary service.
Priti manager Catherine Acosta started the offer in September during customer appreciation month, sending out the incentive in the monthly e-newsletter. “I noticed that reviews are a big way to gain recognition,” says Acosta, who chooses her favorite review and notifies the writer that she has won a free service. Since it started, Priti has been getting the positive feedback it was aiming for, and Acosta has plans to continue this and other incentives.
