When it comes to nail art, a tech is only limited by her imagination. Though the canvas is small, techs have continually found new ways to create designs, colors, and artwork that inspire others. Here INM elite educator Sara Rayna Holden shares an interesting way of keeping nail art inspiration close by.

I’ve been reading NAILS Magazine since the beginning of my nail career, and one of my favorite sections is Nail Art Studio. It gives you step-by-step instructions on how to make fun and new nail art ideas, and it features techs from across the country. I made my own homemade step-by-step nail art book from these so my clients and I can go through them and get ideas for nail art designs. Every month I take an exacto knife to the pages, place them in a clear plastic sheet, and then put them in a three ring binder.

I have my clients go through them while I’m prepping and applying tips, and since INM has more than 50 colored acrylics, once they choose an idea I can get right to work. The book really helps me and my clients stay up-to-date on the latest nail fashions.
