Encourage your clients to practice safe sun by slathering on the sunblock and using nail polish to give their skin a more tan appearance. Here are some tips from polish maker Np2 for choosing the right polish color to make your client’s skin glow. (All colors named are from Np2’s polish line.):

Fair Skin Tones Should Wear: A red like Electric Charge (shown) or a bright pink like Positive Integer. Both choices look elegant with fair skin.

Medium Skin Tones Should Wear:  Very bright, vibrant colors like Solar (shown), Electric, or Square Root. These shades of nail polish will make a medium skin tone appear more tan than it really is.

Tan Skin Tones Should Wear: Light shades of pink like Positive Charge (shown) work well to bring out the skin tone’s color. People with tan skin tones also look great with light brown, like Hypothesis and chocolate brown shades of nail polish like Celsius.

Dark Skin Tones Should Wear:  Maroons and dark reds like Elemental (shown), Infinitely, or Multiplied.
