Olivia Gordon of Lancaster, Calif., has a popular following for her unique “Picture Book” nails. By using digital photos and printing out a proof sheet, so that the photos are very small, Gordon cuts them out and seals them into her acrylic sets.

The technique is a great way for sentimental clients to carry their loved ones around on their nails, and Gordon also accentuates these images with a little nail art around the borders.

She lays the photos into clear acrylic, then seals them with clear acrylic. After that, she buffs and applies top coat to the nail and decorates it with acrylic paint.
