Paris Beauty Supply's first an­nual nail competition, held November 11-12, was certainly a success, as over two dozen mani­curists participated in each day's competition in which each had two-and-a-half hours to complete a full set of nails. Over 700 spectators attended as well.

First, second and third place winners received a cash award and a beautiful walnut and brass plaque commemorating their accomplish­ments. Each contestant received a certificate of excellence.

In the sculptured nail division, Linda Keller of Nail Lady of the Neptune New Wave Salon, Long-view, Washington, won first place; Pattie Callahan of Nails by Pattie, Redmond, Washington, second place; and Sharon Burke of Ted-rick's Salon in Edmonds, Washing­ton, third place. There was a tie for the honorable mention between Orva Rudd of Accent Hair Design, Burien, Washington, and Eva Rasor of Noggins and Nails, Federal Way, Washington.

In the open competition, Leann Silvers, Curl's Coiffures, Bellevue, Washington, first place; Donita Kirschmann, Nail Lady of Neptune New Wave Salon, Longview, Wash­ington, second place; and Linda Keller, also of Nail Lady of Neptune New Wave Salon, third place. Honorable mention was awarded to Char Nelson of Perfect Tan Salon, Renton, Washington.
