OPI president George Schaeffer met President Bill Clinton at a special event for Rock the Vote, one of the charities that receive a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Nicole polishes.

OPI’s George Schaeffer and Suzi Weiss-Fischmann left a recent Rock the Vote event humming “Hail to the Chief” after meeting President Clinton. Clinton was the keynote speaker at the special evening for supporters of Rock the Vote, one of tour charities that benefits from Nicole’s “Colors With a Conscience” program. “It was very exciting to see the moments leading up to the President’s arrival,” says Weiss-Fischmann. “There is an amazing amount of preparation that goes into all of his appearances.”

Schaeffer and Weiss-Fischmann had a chance to meet Clinton following his speech in which he stressed the importance of voting and taking a proactive part in society. After posing for pictures with the President, they discussed their role in Rock the Vote and the success of the Nicole campaign. When they told Clinton they had prepared a special package of OPI products for Chelsea, he immediately asked Secret Service men to escort Schaeffer and Weiss-Fischmann to their car to retrieve the gift.

“It was an incredible honor to talk with President Clinton. It is certainly an experience I will never forget,” says Schaeffer.
