If you’re a fan of our online community, Nail Art Gallery (nailartgallery.nailsmag.com), you’ll be happy to know that it is now easier than ever to share your nail art. Let us walk you through some of the modifications we’ve made so you can begin uploading and sharing ASAP.
2. Create Your Own How-Tos
Another new feature is the ability to post tutorials with multiple images and instructions.
Click on Upload Photos. Select the Step-by-Step Tutorial Upload tab. Fill out the information as usual.
2. When selecting photos you will first choose a Main Photo that represents the finished artwork.
3. Select photos to upload that show the steps.
4. The photos will load in order, but you can simply drag them around if you need to readjust the sequence.
Add a caption in the space provided (optional, but recommended).
Hit Submit and your tutorial will be posted. A pink banner is used to specify Tutorial pictures within a gallery.
You also have the ability to pin your tutorial on Pinterest. The picture will show up on Pinterest as it does along the right side of the gallery.
We’ve added these new features in the hopes that you continue to use Nail Art Gallery as a place to showcase your nail art. These modifications will not only make it easier for you to document your creations, it will also help you share your designs with clients and peers. The more you post, the more you are building a beautiful portfolio of your work that you can reference again and again.
> Tag your photos with as many labels as possible and add descriptions and product names.
> Use watermarks with no more than 50% opacity and place the mark so it doesn’t obscure your art.
> Be detailed when filling out your profile. List your full name, salon name, link to your social media, and update your profile regularly.
> Don’t steal other people’s work and post it as your own. Nail Art Gallery is a space for posting photos of your creations and yours alone.
> Choose decent images. Photos that are too blurry or have crazy borders detract from the nail art you worked so hard to create.
> Provide contact information so if we are interested in using one of your photos in Nail Art Gallery Magazine or elsewhere, we can get a hold of you.
