ISSE Part 2

Didn’t make it out in the cold rain to ISSE in Long Beach, Calif.? Or made it, but weren’t sure if you saw all the highlights on the show floor? Here’s a quick recap of the show.

European Touch’s new “Clean Touch” basin has only one piece to remove, making it easier to clean to follow your state board’s guidelines. Other plusses: it uses less water and offers arch support for clients’ feet.

Liz Firth, U.K. sales manager of Hive Beauty Group, demonstrates the company’s unique spray-on paraffin on me. It’s available in seven different scents; I tried out the lavender-scented version.

Belava unveiled five new colors for its pedicure tubs. Now you can pick the one that best suits your salon’s color scheme.

Chris Stevens (left), sales manager, and Richard Hurter, marketing director, take a break from working the Kupa booth to pose for a snapshot.

Friends, salon owners, and Nail Tek educators Kesha Hackett (left) and SaVerne Smith, had fun attending the show.

Young Nails’ new Lomasi line of paraben-free lotions was on full display at ISSE. Aspiring-salon-owner/blogger Robbie Schaeffer was recruiting techs for his soon-to-open salon at the OPI booth. He expects ROB|B: An OPI Concept Salon to open in April.

Bling was everywhere at the show. Light Elegance educator Mylyn Hansen shows off her glittery blue nails.

Showing their accessibility, representatives of the California State Board of Barbering & Cosmetology were on-hand to give out rules and regulations info at the state board’s booth and even held a Q&A session during the show. Nubar debuted a line of lotions. They’re paraben-free and are available in four scents.

Varisi showed off several new soaks at the show. The company also debuted a new creamy sugar scrub.

A crowd surrounded Odyssey’s Trang Nguyen as he did demos in the company’s booth.

FootsieBath founder Genya Vinokur lets me try out the company’s pedicure tub with disposable liner. The tub’s warming massage feature felt great at the end of a long tradeshow!
