Add-Ons Add Up

Well, it always amazes me that when you put a bug in someone's ear, great things come out of it! This past week has been a true eye opener for Adrienne. In our last conversation, one of the new treatments she was hoping would take off was a foot detox machine. Living in an area where healthy living is a priority, she found that serving that need really paid off!

A foot detox service can be an easy add-on to any service. One great idea is to tack it onto a pedicure, add it while a client’s color is processing on her hair, or, depending on your set up, even while a client is having her nails done. But the key is not just getting one session. The real pay off is in the packages.

Just like with nails, there is a recommended time frame to rebalance those enhancements in order to maintain the highest results. If a client goes too long between visits, her nails will not look their best, therefore, she might not find the true value there. The same for a detox service. When recommending a package, always have a recommended end date. In other words, "6 Sessions for the price of 5" to be completed weekly for six weeks. There's no point in having a client complete a session and come back in three months for the next one. You lose the opportunity for effectiveness in the service as well as the chance for them to purchase another package.

Add-ons like this can make or break your day financially. To recommend one, first you must know all the features and benefits. Adrienne is a true master at understanding what her services truly offer in value. Last Saturday proved such a point. By applying these techniques, she was able to gross $338! That's close to a typical week for her in just one day! Her rebooking was 60%, she had two referrals and did this number with only five clients! Go girl!

Now that the clients are starting to come in, it's time to track those results. Business is a game, one Adrienne wants to win. Tracking tells a story loud and clear. We'll check in on those results next week.
