Premiere Behind the Scenes

by NAILS Magazine | June 10, 2008 | Bookmark +

The Premiere Beauty Show in Orlando is one of the largest beauty trade shows in the country. The amount of work and coordination that goes into one of these shows was impressive to see. If you’ve never been to Premiere, the show is held in the Orange County Convention Center, which offers 2.1 million square feet of exhibition space and is the second-largest convention center in the country. We arrived a day early to set up the NAILS booth and got to see firsthand the chaotic bustle of exhibitors and Premiere’s stage crew scrambling to get everything in order for the show.

Truck after truck pulled up with forklifts zipping inside to unload palates.

And the convention center saved energy by not turning the air conditioning on till the day of the show, so setup was done in some authentic Florida heat.

But the floor was in tip-top shape by opening hours, with red carpets ready to greet eager beauty professionals, and booths fully ready and organized. (More show coverage to come. Hannah and I will be posting pictures and comments over the next few days.)
