Here’s the latest in nail and beauty biz-related celeb and PR news.

 

  • Huntington Beach, Calif.-based Skin Deep—The Body Spa was the Orange County winner in the “best facial” category on MyFoxLA’s HotList.
  • China Glaze manicurist, Marsha Bialo, was featured throughout the June/July issue pages of Los Angeles fashion and beauty magazine, Genlux. Bialo was credited for her manicures throughout the issue, including the pale nail she created for pregnant-at-the-time Jessica Alba, the issue’s cover girl.
  • Garfield Heights, Ohio-based nail artist Patricia Amato was featured in a Stylelist online slideshow on nail art trends. She’s nail 10 in the gallery.
  • Color Club’s Campfire Red polish was featured in a Los Angeles Times shopping feature.
  • OPI executive VP & artistic director Suzi Weiss-Fischmann led celeb news show Extra on a private tour into OPI’s secret on-site lab and revealed the hottest shades for nails. In the August issue of Shape magazine, Venus Williams, winner of seven Grand Slam titles, says one of her favorite things is OPI Nail Lacquer in Red, Red Rhine. OPI products were honored with Essence magazine’s 2008 Readers’ Choice Beauty Awards in a variety of categories.
  • Zoya Professional Nail Lacquer will be the official nail care brand for fashion designer Toni Maticevski at Mercedes-Benz fashion in New York.
  • Belvedere furnishings appear on the set of TV show Shear Genius, season 2.
  • Seacliff Beauty Packaging & Laboratories’ president Vonda Simon is latest CEO Centerfold to appear in OCMetro magazine.
  • A Finer Touch Nail Spa, Kansas City, Mo., has been nominated for the second year by The Steve Harvey Morning Show for "best nail salon.” The star-studded event will be held Sept. 20.
