BABTAC/CIBTAC Awards: How Sweet It Is

Congratulations to Samantha Sweet, who represented U.K.-based nail distributor Sweet Squared at the first annual BABTAC/CIBTAC Beauty Awards. The event took place on the chic rooftop terrace of London’s Kensington Gardens on June 7.

Sweet took home the title Outstanding Contribution to the Nail Industry 2010, an award sponsored by the industry trade magazine Professional Beauty. The award is designed to recognize individuals and companies who inspire others and have the drive to consistently produce new ideas.

The award was another achievement for this fast-growing company that last month launched one of the most successful products in the industry in the U.K. — CND’s Shellac.

Sweet shared the excitement of the day with her husband and business partner, Samuel Sweet, commenting, “I am extremely honoured to accept BABTAC’s 2010 Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Nail Industry. I have been fortunate enough to be inspired by amazing industry mentors who have instilled in me a love and passion for all things nails! This award is as much for them as it is for me — Gigi Rouse, Jan Arnold, Rhonda Benbo, Jim Nordstrom, Marian Newman, and my husband Samuel Sweet. The best feeling in the world is to get up every day and do something you love. I still love inspiring and helping others and pushing our industry forward.”
