Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend a class at the Halsted Tan & Spa Salon here in Chicago as a model for an OPI class. The class was on the Axxium Soak-Off Gels and the Clarité system.

As a model, I was expected to allow the nail techs to practice on my hands. That wasn’t a problem. I did end up taking part as an active participant and asking questions about each system to the educator. I mean, I am a student who has a hunger for all things nails, right? So I did the student-like thing — asked many questions and took notes too!

The class was awesome and I was so amazed at what Tricoci University has already prepared me for and I still have 10 weeks left in the program! I was able to recognize OPI procedure and follow along without a problem.

I would like to thank Halsted Tan & Spa and my classmate Kristen G. for allowing me to be a model (and sit-in) on such an informative OPI class.

I suggest that nail tech students volunteer for as many classes as possible. The information you will gain is PRICELESS!

Off to study for a test for my real class…
