The Beauty Bus Foundation — a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the quality of life for terminally or chronically ill individuals and their caregivers with free in-home beauty treatments — invites beauty professionals to its Beauty Bus Information and Training sessions at the International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE)  January 30 and 31, 2011. Reaching out to licensed hairdressers, nail technicians, estheticians, and professional makeup artists to bring beauty services to men, women, and children, the Beauty Bus Foundation is offering training to beauty professionals so they can walk away able to bring beauty into the lives of those in need.

Hosting two sessions at ISSE, the Beauty Bus Foundation will prepare professionals for the unique experience of working with Beauty Bus clientele. Professionals will learn about the founding of the organization, the diseases and conditions Beauty Bus serves, and participate in hypothetical client situations. The training is a prerequisite to pampering terminally and chronically ill people and their caregivers through the Beauty Bus.

Sessions are Sunday, January 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Monday, January 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Attendees must purchase tickets to ISSE in order to attend these trainings. Tickets are available at www.probeauty.org/isselb/tickets.php.

“The outpouring of support from the beauty industry and the community over the last year has made it possible for Beauty Bus Foundation to treat so many patients and caregivers. But we are calling on the industry to help us grow and be able to service clients in a much bigger way,” says Alicia Marantz Liotta, founder of Beauty Bus Foundation. “We often hear from our volunteers that they think they get as much out of Beauty Bus visits as the patients and caregivers do.”
