Is your new year’s resolution to better your technical skills? If so, three fellow nail techs have recently released DVDs to help you reach your goal.

U.K.-based nail tech and independent global educator Sam Biddle recently released a new DVD entitled Pure Gel, which features six simple designs in a range of application techniques. It completes Biddle’s “Be Inspired: Pure” collection of nail DVDs. Biddle says the disc will show you how to “make gel work for you” in the salon. The DVD covers sculpting, gel flowers, marbling, encapsulation, money- and time-saving tips, and more. To purchase, visit www.sambiddle.co.uk.

Vinny Patel, a nail tech at The Look in Bronx, N.Y., has gained a lot of expertise in nail art over the years, especially in 3-D designs. His DVDs feature step-by-steps of designs like 3-D flowers and aquarium nails. (If you live in the Bronx area, Patel also teaches local nail art classes.) For more information or to purchase one of his DVDs, contact Patel at vinnypatel@yahoo.com or (646) 578-2665

Kingsville, Ontario, Canada-based Michelle Sproat recently published a combined book and DVD set. The book includes information on her nail art journey and travels with OPI. The hour-long DVD shows five designed nails. To purchase, visit www.inspiringnails.net.

And don’t forget to visit www.nailsmag.com/store for more nail-focused DVDs and books.
