The Promotions Are Starting to Pay Off

So last week Jill talked about the “business of the weekpromotion. At my salon we decided to do it as a team. Three of the service providers including myself are currently doing this promotion. One is the nail tech who just moved back (she started this week) and the other is our newest esthetician. So far this promotion has gotten all of us a few new guests. I am so excited to see something working without expensive advertising!

 

We are brainstorming ideas for the “gift bag dropand discussing which business we want to hit for that promotion. We have started printing up the gift certificates and the flyers and now all that is left to do is fill the bags and pick our first place. So far this has been very fun to do with very little effort. I am looking forward to our first field trip!

 

As for promotions that I have done in the past, the one that worked the best for me when I moved here was a “buy a full set and get the first fill free.” The clients had to pre-book the fill appointment and because it was free they almost never no-showed. If they wanted to cancel, they called before the appointment and rescheduled because they didn’t want to miss out on their freebie. This worked for me I think because I had two occasions to impress them with my skill and work ethic. After the second appointment they were hooked. I still do many of those clients’ nails today.
