Crackle on Crackle Action

by NAILS Magazine | April 28, 2011 | Bookmark +

A lot of us have been experimenting with trendy crackle polishes. I know I have. For those of us who can’t get enough crackling, Irene Chao of China Glaze shares an awesome tip for how to get two different crackle polishes to work together.

“Layering the crackles give it a really cool graffiti art look,” Irene says. “Apply the base color, let that dry, apply a crackle and then apply a top coat over that. After the top coat has completely dried, apply ANOTHER coat of the crackle on top. I found out that putting crackle on top of crackle really doesn’t work. The top crackle just sort of sucks the base color up.”

Try different combinations of all six Crackle Glaze polishes and let us know what you think!
