RED PR's Julia Labaton (left) and CND's Elyce de Brown (right) welcomed me in the serene suite at The London hotel in West Hollywood for an afternoon of pampering and previews of what's coming up.
After walking aisle after aisle at last weekend's busy Premiere Orlando beauty show, I was more than happy to get an e-mail from CND
inviting me up to Hollywood for a Power Polish Pedicure. Yesterday afternoon I drove the 20 miles (which takes over an hour in LA traffic) up to the chic boutique hotel The London to get pampered and learn about some of the fun new things CND has coming up.
CND education ambassador Wanda Ruiz (who is from Puerto Rico) flew to the States last week to get some shopping done for herself at the Orlando show. Then she headed to LA to do pedicures during CND's press event. She gave my poor sore and tired feet a wonderful Raw Earth pedi, followed by a Shellac application of Rock Royalty. (I love the deep eggplant hue!)
During my pedicure I took the "Who Are You?" quiz that showed what I already know — I'm a Shellac Girl (as opposed to Colour & Effects Girl, a Brisa Girl, or Retention+ Girl). In addition to the current 24 colors, CND is launching six new shades in September — including Asphalt (a concrete gray), Hotski to Tchotchke (a popular vibrant teal), and Purple Purple (an iridescent azure violet reminiscent of CND's very popular discontinued polish Jiggy). The other three new colors include Studio White (a semi-sheer soft white), Moonlight & Roses (an opalescent pink), and Zillionaire (a dazzling multi-color effect that got oohs and aahs at last week's CND Fashion Fusion event...more on that in a post soon!).
