Getting Into the Schools

Proprietor’s Market, the marketing firm we hired to help us get the word out about Tickled Pink Salon, is responsible for setting us set up with some of the local elementary schools to promote our Princess parties and Princess for a Day services at the salon. Tara of Proprietor's Market arranged for Tickled Pink Salon to sponsor a "PTA Thank You" event at some local schools: Princess and a Popsicle. This was a PTA thank you for all the parents and students that Tickled Pink Salon sponsored. By sponsoring this event we had the opportunity to send fliers home in all the students’ folders at the end of the week.

On the day of the event we took Princess Melissa, popsicles, and our promotional material to the school. All the students in the carpool line received popsicles and had the opportunity to meet and talk with Princess Melissa. Other businesses that sponsored the event had representatives there that were giving promotional materials to the parents as they pulled up to pick up their children. The kids all loved meeting Princess Melissa. The girls were so very excited. Princess Melissa got lots of hugs that day and made a lot of girls extremely happy. We hope to do more of these types of events in the fall when school starts back up.

What are we hoping to gain from these events? We are hoping that parents will see that we are in the community supporting our local schools, students and teachers and in turn support our business by thinking of and using us when they need salon services for both themselves and their kids.
