Kudos, Ladies

Wow! A round of applause goes out to Sandy and Rachael (the nail tech Sandy spoke of in her last post). Congratulations Rachael for taking a leap of faith and trusting the suggestions to make your business explode. Those numbers are astonishing and will continue to grow. Rachael implemented a few of the suggestions and has made a huge difference in her business. In a few months she almost tripled her services and more than doubled her client count.

This is amazing because what I want to introduce to you is body balance. This is working smarter instead of harder. Rachael is doing just that — she is maximizing her clients one client at a time. This is giving her maximum money on fewer clients in less time. By doing this she will have longevity in this business and she can expect big paychecks!

Look at what Rachael did: She took 88 clients and did 149 services. That means she averaged about two services per client. According to these numbers, she was offering add-on services to EVERY client. She was offering additional services to her repeat clients, new clients, and new referrals. Her repeat requests were 43 and her client count was 88. Those numbers prove we never know which client will take us up on an additional service. All we have to do is offer it. It’s not our job to judge our client and think, "They can’t afford it." Let the client be the judge of that. Don’t think, "I wouldn’t pay X amount of dollars for that, neither will they."  Let them decide if it’s of value to them. We just make the offering, they will decide and let us know. The worst they can say is no. We’ll shake it off and make the offering to our next client.

Sandy also had big increases in her numbers as well. That’s awesome! She also maximized her clients. Sandy saw 136 clients during the month and she performed 237 services. She also offered additional services to every client. Just by making the offering to her clients, 100 of them said YES. I hope Rachael and Sandy are purchasing themselves something special for the outstanding work they have achieved. Keep up the good work ladies!

Rachael and Sandy could not have achieved those kinds of numbers without practicing good body balance. If they both sat at their stations and did fills all day they wouldn’t last another week. Their bodies would be so sore and their hands wouldn’t be able to hold a nail file. Stylists can’t hold their arms up all day and cut nonstop. We as nail techs can’t file all day either. We need to change positions and do pedicures.

Performing pedicures gives your hands, wrists, and arms a break from repetitious filing. Who taught us in order to be successful, we need to be booked with fills all day? By not doing pedicures we can expect a short career in nails, no variety, and smaller paychecks.

Check back next week for ideas of how to make more money by doing more pedicures and getting out of the fills, fills, fills gridlock. Changing it up and changing your career, one more way to help you stand out above the rest and become the BEST!
