Sephora Launches In-Store Nail Studios, Nail Art Guide

Beauty retailer Sephora is infatuated with nail art. Through a partnership with XpresSpa, it now offers in-store Sephora Nail Studio Art + Lacquer Services at select stores in New York and California. The retailer’s blog states, “We were super excited to celebrate the opening of Sephora Times Square's Nail Studio, and of course, we couldn't resist indulging in a service. Part of the fun was browsing through all the many options and deciding which style we wanted to flaunt — the designs ranged from simple to intricate. We sat down with expert nail artists who first shaped and buffed our nails, then moisturized from our arms down to our tips. After that, the real artistry began.”

The chain partnered with London-based nail artist Sophy Robson to create step-by-step nail art recipes, then compiled several of them in a Nail Art Guide, which includes shopping lists of which Sephora products to purchase to create the looks. Robson has also done how-to nail art videos for Sephora’s YouTube channel.

We are thrilled to see this support of nail art from so large of a beauty player, but are curious. From those of you who are near a Sephora, do you think this will affect your salon’s business?
