We loved it when this story from the Greencastle, Pa.-based newspaper Echo-Pilot appeared in our Google Alerts. Why? This consumer press story is all about how nail tech Jamie Hess got press in a trade magazine (specifically, the best trade magazine in the industry, NAILS). We know being featured in NAILS is an honor and resume-builder in its own right, but we encourage you to then write a press release about your recent trade magazine mention and send it to your local media outlets. We bet many of them will agree that winning a contest in NAILS or having your salon given a 2-page salon profile is newsworthy. (Plus, if you’re really lucky, then that consumer press mention will be mentioned on a NAILS blog, then more press outlets will see that mention, and on and on and on…)
