How important is networking? There are so many opportunities to be in involved in the nail community outside the bubble around your table!
I was so impressed with the power of industry networking last week in the CND Master classes that were hosted in Hawaii. We had attendees that had found out about the classes on Facebook, some who had heard about it from fellow nail professionals, and even some who had learned about it while listening to my interview on Nail Talk Radio. The group was an amazing mix of personalities who came together with one passion — nails — from as close by as Honolulu to as far away as Canada! I hope all of you network in some form or another, whether it is events at a show like the BeautyTech BBQ in Orlando, Facebook groups like Confessions of a Nail Tech, or even just good old-fashioned telephone chats!
If you are not listening to Nail Talk Radio I hope you have a good excuse. It is so much fun that one of my class attendees (ahem, Raynette) had a phone alarm set that went off in class letting her know it was time for the show! This next year make sure to set aside time out of your nail table bubble and do some networking. You might be surprised where you end up going and who you end up meeting, even if the trip is simply online.
