Nail Technician Was One of the Shooting Victims

We have an update on this week’s horrible salon shooting in Orange County, Calif. We’ve now learned the identities of the eight victims, and one of them was in our family of nail technicians. Christy Lynn Wilson of Lakewood, Calif., had worked at the salon for many years and she was admired as an expert nail artist, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Wilson, a close friend of Michelle Fournier (the alleged shooter’s ex-wife and presumed target), testified on Fournier’s behalf at a custody hearing the day before the shooting took place. (The above photo of Fournier and Wilson was left outside the salon. Credit: The Los Angeles Times.)
Her family released a statement: “Christy touched the lives of so many people that words alone cannot describe what a wonderful individual she was and what a tremendous asset to her community she was.”
"Nothing can be done to bring back the individuals that were lost," the statement said, "but the family hopes and prays that everyone will be comforted by fond memories of their loved ones."
