Creating Nail Fashion for Your Clients

by Holly Schippers | December 7, 2011 | Bookmark +

Have you ever noticed that some people have weird preconceived notions about nail art? Some act like it is for a certain age group or “type” of person. To me nail art is simply art done on the canvas of a nail. Maybe we need to change how people view our nail art in order to encourage them to think outside the box. Earlier this year I was beside myself when CND asked if I would create one of my signature designs on tips for Shellac and Fashion Fusion. This leads me to thinking why couldn’t you as a nail tech in the salon take some photos of fashions in your area and create seasonal looks for your clients to choose from for their own “Nail Fashion”.

Maybe start with a few nail looks that go with one type of outfit, or select some different color palettes that each have one specific look.

Then create a sample for clients and a step-by-step for all the techs in the salon to create consistency.

I can’t wait to hear what fun things you come up with.
