OPI’s “Got the Blues for Red” on Fashion Catwalk

by NAILS Magazine | December 13, 2011 | Bookmark +

Jason Wu looked to modernist artist Charley Harper and the Maharaja for inspiration for his pre-fall 2012 collection, which he unveiled on December 2. Wu’s use of delicate beading and embroidery and jewel-toned colors on luxurious sweaters was complemented with OPI’s nail lacquer color Got the Blues for Red. The models’ hands matched perfectly with the pointy-collared blouses and tailored outerwear. This blue-based red hue offered a classic, regal look with cool undertones to perfectly accessorize Wu’s runway creations.
