ISSE 2012: Hands-on Nail Art Demos

by NAILS Magazine | February 2, 2012 | Bookmark +

One of the best things about beauty trade shows is the excess of education, new trends, and nail art demonstrations. Here’s a tour of nail art demos from a few manufacturer booths I came across during the show.

Christrio educator Kayo Wakisaka created this animal print design on attendee Rosie Escalante using Christrio’s Basic One hard gel and Gelacquer soak-off gel for the design.

Ellen Lee, an educator for Orly, adds a top coat to this design on show attendee Qiong Lu using Orly’s GelFX hybrid gel polish. After curing the red color, she used an orangewood stick to stripe and blend three colors before curing.

Making his first appearance as a Nail Labo educator, Max Estrada created this stiletto nail with gold and black marble on attendee Kim Tran using Nail Labo’s Presto soak-off gel system and embellishments.

EZ Flow educator Wende Thummel files this acrylic marble swirl design on fellow educator Terry Burciaga. She used EZ Flow’s Murano Glass colored acrylic collection using the colors Heart (pink) and Truly White.

American International Industries educator Allison Ross preps Anette Davenport's nails for a demo using ibd's Just Gel Polish collection.

Odyssey educator Yeojung Shim created these marbleized swirl tips using Odyssey's i-Gel pure soak-off gel.
