Getting Sick Is Slowing Us Down

Due to the need for discretion during the early planning stages, Vicki requested that we wait on posting her first few weeks of blog posts until now. Vicki wrote this one on April 22. Don't worry; we'll be caught up to the present day soon!--NAILS Eds

We have been sick, me with a raging sinus infection one week and the next week Kim had the bug so that has set us back. We lost the better part of two weeks, and little got done but a handful of clients. The salon looks like it's coming together now. Small things such as a coffee pot, a microwave that does not work and has to taken back, a new paper towel holder and accessories, a magazine rack, and fun things for our stations. I have organized all my nail products (I have been collecting tons of stuff for years) and now we have back stock for everyone to use. Seems like were always running to Wal-Mart or The Home Depot! We have yet to get the rest of the furniture and still need to build the pedicure platform. Sitting on the floor doing pedis is tough.

We have a sandwich board now that we set out front every day to let everyone know driving by that we are open.

Naja from Nail Talk Radio asked me to come on and talk about opening the new salon as well. That was fun!
