Trang Nguyen to represent the U.S in International Nail Championships

International competitor and many-time World Champion Trang Nguyen will represent the United States once again in the International Nail Championships to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany in March 2013. Each country will send their best Sculptured Acrylic competitor and Sculptured Gel competitor for the coveted spot atop the podium as world champion. As the first place-winner in the Sculptured Acrylic Nails category during the U.S Invitational competition held at IBS Las Vegas, Nguyen will join Sculptured Gel Nails first-place winner Amy Becker in Germany to represent the U.S.

Aside from the now occasional nail competition (winning over 300 trophies over the last 18 years), Nguyen runs his business as CEO of Odyssey Nail Systems and focuses on education. On the international scale, he is known as “teacher” in many different languages, spending the majority of the year traveling to multiple countries at a time to train his international educators on competition-style nails. He also inspires students and nail techs to push their skills further by competing. “Keep trying and seek advice that will further your career and better your skills,” Nguyen says. “Anyone who participates in competitions is already a winner because they have had to practice and improve.”
