Tracy and I got to try Famous Names' new IBX nail treatment, which is debuting here at ISSE Long Beach 2014. There are two formulas — a nail strengthener for weak or brittle nails and a nail repair for damaged nails or clients who just want extra protection underneath nail enhancements. The strengthener can be worn alone, but the repair formula should be applied in conjunction with the strengthener. The treatment dries under natural light and is then cured with a UV or LED lamp.
Linda Nordstrom, a nail tech and CEO of the company, gave us two rounds of the treatment since we're IBX newbies. The whole process took about 10 to 15 minutes and Nordstrom suggests tacking on an additional $5 to $10 to your normal manicure or pedicure price for this service.
Infused with jojoba and avocado oil, the product soaks into your natural nail, conditioning them from the inside out. Once the product is fully absorbed, you can't tell there's anything on your nails!
