OPI Enters The Toy World

by NAILS Magazine | February 4, 2014 | Bookmark +

OPI joined toy design company JAKKS Pacific to collaborate on a new line of miWorld play environments, including a miniature OPI nail salon. This adorable little creation was on display at ISSE Long Beach 2014 I wanted to play with it myself and thought it would make a great retail item in salons. In addition to the basic structure, each OPI miWorld includes miniature nail lacquer bottles, nail tools, a product display, a manicure table and two chairs, a gel lamp and light, a spa chair for pedicures, and an apron. (Dolls are sold separately.) The parts are moveable so you can design your own tiny salon.

"Whether girls see beloved family members going to the nail salon, or they've enjoyed the salon experience themselves, they can become both the nail technician and the customer through miWorld," said Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI co-founder and executive VP. JAKKS Pacific will also launch the free miWorld DreamPlay app, which allows girls to bring their miWorld play environments to life on iOS devices.

To complement the miWorld play set, OPI announced a custom Mini Nail Lacquer Pack featuring bestselling hues Need Sunglasses?, Do You Lilac It?, Princesses Rule!, and Funny Bunny.
