A New Design Philosophy

A big part of any salon is the spa pedicure chair. Members of Lexor’s marketing team want to remind salon owners that it’s possible to plan your décor around your furniture and keep costs low. The result is a fun and inspiring site called diysalon.com.

The website offers tutorials that help you create new functional décor for your salon, such as a magazine rack (where you can keep your latest issue of NAILS), chalkboard nail polish storage, an end pallet table, and more. There’s even a tutorial on how to organize your Pinterest boards. Each project also contains tips for best practices. The “templates” tab offers you even more crafty ideas, promising that more will be on their way soon. I suggest getting started with these Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s Day projects to put clients in a festive mood.

So pick up a glue gun and turn those unused items into integral parts of the salon. All you need is glitter, imagination, and maybe even a little help from family, crafty friends, or your staff. Let your personality shine through to give clients an even more unique salon experience.
