Undercover Colors is a company dedicated to empowering women to prevent sexual assault — and they are using nail polish to do so. The company’s Facebook page cites a statistic that 18% of women will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime (that’s almost one out of every five in the country). A creative way to combat the use of the date rape drug thought of by Undercover Colors is to create a nail polish that changes color when it comes in contact with Rohypnol, Xanax, and GHB. All a woman has to do is wear the polish then stir her drink with her finger. If the polish changes color, she’ll know her drink is spiked. A site is available to donate to the research and development efforts of the company if you’d like to see this polish come to the market. Click here to donate. Follow Undercover Colors on Twitter and Instagram to get more up to date news on the company’s efforts.
