Howdy Strangers!! In spite of disappearing, I’m still alive although the same could not be said for my poor laptop. It finally bit the dust and had to be replaced. Amongst my crazy schedule, I had to buckle down and make a decision.
Dell Alienware won the battle against the Mac. As much as they could go head-to-head for a lot of the features I was looking for, what the deciding factor came down to was longevity. Sadly, Apple wants only the type of consumer that considers their electronics disposable. Many of you that have had to replace your Apple items after a software update that made them inoperable know exactly what I mean. While some may view Windows as an inferior operating system, they do at least have the decency to just stop updating old versions so you can use your device as long as your budget dictates that you must.
Having gotten eight years out of the Dell laptop that just croaked, I have hopes of the same occurring with this one versus the two to three-year life a Mac would have once the updates rendered it obsolete and nonfunctioning. Now that I’m fully functional with a laptop again, let’s play catch up with blogs!!
