NYFW: Essie for Wes Gordon & Sally LaPointe

by Beth Livesay | September 14, 2015 | Bookmark +

Essie lead manicurist Rita Remark created a gothic ombre nail to reflect ʼ90s style at Wes Gordon. The final look juxtaposes light and dark with wet and dry. Start with a base coat then add In the Lobby, avoiding the moon and cuticle area. Next, apply one coat of Matte About You. Remove polish from the Devil’s Advocate brush and create upward streaks from the cuticle to the center of the nail. Finish by removing most of the polish from the Gel.Setter top coat brush and apply directly on top of Devil’s Advocate to add high shine.

For Sally LaPointe, a sandy beige nail was made using a subtle color palette. Remark used Essie Sand Tropez, sandwiched between a base and top coat for a sleek nail look.
