NYFW: CND for the Blonds S/S 2016

CND unveiled 24 gilded designs for The Blonds show last night at MILK Studios in New York City. Inspired by Egyptology, the nails at the show were nothing short of handcrafted treasures. Nails were regal and glistened with avant-garde artistry. CND Liquid & Powder, Brisa Gel, Shellac, Vinylux and Additives were all used to get the rich golden tones, antique shimmer, turquoise accents, and dimension. Hieroglyphics, snake and crocodile skins, gold-plated wings, draped headdresses, and scarab beetles were constructed using feathers, foils, ribbons, chains, gems, and stones. A sarcophagus nail even opened to reveal a mummified pharaoh donning the actual locks of designer Phillipe Blond. Over 600 hours of production was needed to bring this collaborative vision to life.
