Remember Day 3 of the 12 Days of Tips when we covered creating a seasonal display for your clients/guests to choose designs or colors from? This makes nail fashion easier to time and price! If things are a little bit slow in the salon right now, it is the perfect time to make up some seasonal displays for at least the first half of the year.
To help you with that, how about a fun competition that tests your creativity instead of your nail skills so that no one has an excuse not to at least try. As you have seen in multiple photos and videos, I use Colorpops a lot. They have generously agreed to offer my readers an insane price for stocking up and getting started.

All you have to do is go to Colorpop's website and enter the term naileyes in as the coupon code when you check out. This will entitle you to purchase packs of 50 at only $9.25. In case you are not aware, that is more than half off! If that wasn’t enough, they will also be supplying part of the competition prize.
Now that you know how to get them, here is the info on the contest:
Everyone is eligible worldwide
Create a seasonal display using 7-30 Colorpops. (Any season is fair game).
The Colorpops can have any type of nail fashion on them. You will be judged on the creativity of the display itself.
To give everyone time to receive, polish, and display the Colorpops, the competition will run for one month. Deadline for photo/video submissions is 2/19/16.
You may submit a photo or a 10 second or less video to fingernailfixer@hotmail.com at any time. Your photos and videos may be used by FingerNailFixer®, Colorpops, or NAILS Magazine to inspire other nail professionals. Please include your name, location, and a link to be given credit.
There will be surprise guest judges.
The Grand Prize will have a $200 retail value!
I can’t wait to see all the amazing entries that you come up with. I know you will love the attention the displays receive in the salon as well!

Have you ever heard of the stages of grief? With everything going on, we are grieving our “normal”. That means you should give yourself permission to feel the way you feel.

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
It has been quite a while since I made a video for the e-file chronicles so an update to that seemed in order. The latest installment is removing gel-polish from an enhancement.
